Following @WatchFred's input, I reached out to Breitling to see if I could get an image of the ledger. The following is the initial exchange with the Breitling historian via the Breitling Boutique in Sydney, which might be of interest to you.

As I said at the end of my post there, "...its in extraordinary condition, so I like to think of it as my own private little re-edition." I hope you enjoy your watch for what it is (or whatever it turns out to be), as I do mine.

there is no indication whatsoever there could be a “typo” in the ledger for these - the current database has now been verified, completed and corrected according to the hand written ledgers, this batch has been confirmed. |

@arcadelt & WatchFred: Thanks a lot for your great information! All 806 E models seem to have the smaller crown, even earlier batches with Valjeux 7736 movements. See the pictures here in this thread, here or here. Here is a pic of my "lost serial"-806 E, all same like arcadelt's one except "T SWISS MADE T" on my 806 E dial:  and it's Venus 178 movement:  BR |
