Post subject:  Help ID a Vintage Premier Chrno
I have a vintage Breitling Premier Chronograph in pink gold with the serial #'s 673241 788 on the back. My father guesses it's 30-40 years old (or older).

I'm new to this - any help identifying what model this is and it's approximate value (it's mint and run's perfectly) would be appreciated.

Well that serial number (673241) is a lot older than 30 or 40 years - it's 1946.

Ahead of the pictures (and a movement one would be very helpful if possible) I'll hazard a guess that it's a round case with round pushers and three subdials - seconds at 9, 30 minute chrono at 3 and 12 hour chrono at 6.

Does that sound about right?

Not many resources for these. It should be a Venus 152 movement, and as I said it's from 1946. Value is difficult as there aren't many comparables. It also depends whether it is gold plated, filled or solid - is the caseback gold or steel - looks like steel from the pictures.

If it's filled, which is what I believe - a sheet of gold laminated over a base metal, then let's say $2,500 - $3,000 for value. That obviously assumes that the movement is correct.

If it's gold there should be a hallmark and the numbers 0.750 on the caseback. If they aren't on the outside have a watchmaker check the inside of the caseback.

If it is 18K gold then it will add around $1,000 to the value.

Those markings are on the caseback. Thanks for all your help. I have a much clearer understanding about what we have.
