Post subject:  Venus 227?

Just had a vintage Breitling come in for a service estimate. It has Venus 227 movement with no visible serial number. Probably mid-century, stem wind, stem set, incabloc with date dial. It is stamped BREITLING with the logo above on the bridge.

Never seen one before. Is this real?

Thanks in advance for any info!

That’s not really helpful I fear.

Tried to edit reply that was posted by accident, but no luck there.

Dial has BREITLING with GENEVE below.

Case back has BREITLING with rectangle border and logo centered above.
Next line is STAINLESS STEEL with 4001 centered below.

That's all there is.

Finally got time to take some pictures.

All opinions, thoughts, etc. about real or fake are greatly appreciated.

Looks fine. Should be a six digit serial number inside the back cover. Watch probably dates to 1950's.
