Fabrizio, some things require brand-specific knowledge, this does not.

the fact that "stainless steel back" is ONLY used for plated watches is a widely documented fact, over ALL brands, a requirement from US customs regulations during the 1930s/40s; steel had to be specifically marked.

so "stainless steel" stands for a full steel case; "stainless steel back" indicates the only part of the case manufactured from steel was the caseback.

there is really very little to discuss here.

There is nothing for me to really add here other than to say I completely agree with everything that is being said by Buddman and Fred...

The movement issue has been mentioned but I will add that I can’t recall such an almost fully gold plated Venus 178 movement in an 806 (would normally be copper plated)

For me the Value of this watch starts to become more based on it being used for the parts it has been put together with and assigning them back to 806s they belong on.

Weird , that no one noticed (or mentioned) the GP bezel ?

Caseback and bezel are clearly from a GP version
Movement is fine and originally from B (tj is visible)
Midcase does not belong to the bezel and caseback
Dial was sourced separately
Hands and sliderule original B as well

Ie : put together watch from B parts but not without value

Bezel is just steel Rene? I think there is just a light reflection in one of the photos.

yes, steel bezel, without doubt; assume it's the reflections of the golden Caribbean sunshine on Rene's computer screen.

I thought maybe the amber rum, but decided to leave out that root cause suggestion
