Hi guys, thanks for looking. I have come across some vintage Breitlings. As I am not an Breitlingexpert, I wonder if any of you can help me finding out the authentity of these watches. Here is one of them:

I'm suspicious of both, but let me do some research.

Hi again. Here is the third one. Looks a bit too new, but I not familiar with these models. Is the Breitling engraving on the back to "modern" for this watch ?

Thanks again

Researched the first two, this is the first time that I'm seeing the third - but that's easy.

All three of these watches are wrong I'm afraid. None of them have a Breitling correct serial or model number, and while the dials and hands have styling cues that could be considered Breitling like from the late 60s early 70s, I am becoming more and more convinced that they are all no name watches that have had the Breitling name added.

The caseback on the third one is perhaps the best place to see the problems. The caseback is unlike any Breitling one I have seen, there is no model number, no serial number and the Breitling logo is too large.

However, the nail in the coffin is that the logo is just badly engraved. The loop in the middle of the B does not have a hole in the middle, and it should, while the bottom of the B meets the upright and it shouldn't.

Logo on the second one isn't very clear, but looks like the loop on the upright is all wrong, and the diver is just flat out wrong.

The logo on the dial of the first includes a better attempt at the B, but the lettering is generally too heavy, and the caseback on that one also looks wrong - here the 20 ATU stands out - dominates the caseback, but no Breitling logo and I would expect to see 20 ATM anyway.

Sorry!

I hope this one is real, but I'm pretty sceptical now.

Thanks again for you very helpful efforts.

Kind regards

Dag

That one's fine - a 1969 2010 Sprint. Of course the movement may not be original, no way of knowing without seeing it, but nothing wrong with the watch itself - dial, hands, caseback and bezel all look correct.
