Hello Everyone, I just got my first Breitling, happy to finally join the club! It is a 806 Navitimer, I think from 1960 according to a serial number dating chart I found. The guy I bought it from told me the crystal is incorrect and I tend to agree because you cannot see the outer numbers on the dial because of distortion from the shape of the crystal. Long story short, I have a watchmaker that can replace the crystal, but he doesnt have a correct replacement one and suggested ebay. Any ideas from all you forum members? Any help appreciated! I suggest you have a look at this thread, and note that different people have found success with slightly different sizes. Your watchmaker should be able to buy these. |

as in the thread arcadelt posted, its a Sternkruez M386 or M388. Should be $5 or $6 to buy, get both and see which is best fit. |
