Hi all I'm new to the forum and to vintage Breitlings so I'd be grateful for your help with a watch I've been looking at. As US dealer is listing it as a Ref 790 from 1945. That seems to match the case back which has the serial number of 609933 and says 790. But the dial does not look like any 790s I've found by searching Breitling Museum and other sites. I've attached photos, and any advice you could give on whether this piece is real/fake/refinished etc would be deeply appreciated. And if it passes these tests, is it worth that sort of price? case is genuine , dial is fake/refinished hands might be original but are relumed |
