Post subject:  Signed vintage Breitling chrono bridges.

I though it would be good to post some pics of some authentic signed Breitling chrono bridges for future references. Most of the fakes are not done with the same script or font and after working on 100s of these, it is pretty easy to tell the real ones from the fakes. However, there are no guarantees - the fakes are getting better all the time.
Pic 1 is a factory polishing cloth with their original script which was a custom design for Breitling - other script fonts to not match this correctly:

The next 2 pics are signed Venus cal 170 bridges in 2 styles. I think the caps preceeded the script but I am not sure:

This one is a script bridge from a Venus cal 175 and most common but I have seen this one done in caps also.

This last one is the one used in the Navitimer and would be very difficult to duplicate. It was also used on some other Breitling models in the late 50s and early 60s.

The big advantage to buying a Chronomat or a Navitimer is that the cases were unique mostly to Breitling and would be very difficult to remake and sell as a fake.
Hopefully this will help someone avoid a fake in the future. Craig

Very helpful Craig.

The easiest way to tell the fake scrips is generally the B - the gap in the loop in the middle of the B is usually too small or non existent and the gap at the bottom is usually too small or non existent.

Obviously harder to tell on bridges than on dials.

Also the quality and depth of engraving can be a give away - especially on casebacks and bridges.
