I just bought a NOS Breitling case ref. 808 in pieces from eBay France. Of course there was no mention that something is missing. So the issue is that the bezel (including the top part) does not attach to the case body. Something is missing between them. My watchmaker also didn't know what it could be. I would be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this? It would be fantastic if someone has the part. Cheers |

I dont have the part but you need a sort of spacer that connects the bezel to the case |

It looks like a piston ring ... My watchmaker machined one for my Chronomat but unsure the dimensions are really good without having the watch fully assembled . An original part would be useful in order to measure all dimensions and issue a technical drawing for having a reliable reference . |

Sure an original would be perfect. If I knew how it looks like, I would draw one with my 3D software and let it printed. One can adjust/file if something is wrong. |

No Fred, you sent me a kind of washer which snaps into the bezel to create a kind of lip . The "piston ring" has an horizontal U section and links this lip with the corresponding lip of the case, allowing rotation of the bezel .I think that there is also an elastic washer for avoiding any functional gap . I do not have my Chronomat in hands at the moment, so impossible to make pics at short notice . Sorry I am a bit busy at the time, my company offered me 1 year free time before retirement ... I choosed to use this time for learning watchmaker's art and I spend 4 days a week at school ! |
