I am a big moonphase watch fan and saw this breitling moonphase on ebay. It looks beautiful, but is it all original?
Thanks!

Well I notice that bidding has already ended, but no, it's not correct.
The stated serial number is completely inconsistent - pre 1944 there is no reliable list of serials, but this number would likely be late 20s to early 30s based on the serial, and definitely isn't that. It also claims to be a Chronomat (which first appeared in 1942) but doesn't have a Chronomat bezel movement. The name on the dial and the caseback are bad add ons to no name blanks, as is the one on the movement.
It's a bad attempt at trying to create a Breitling from a collection of nameless pieces and I am amazed that it sold as high as it did - I hope someone didn't think they were getting the real thing.
