I saw this a few minutes before the auction ended today. I suspect its an early, unsigned Breilting with a Landeron 13 monopusher movement. It needs more work than I could give it, so I didn't take a chance on it. Any thoughts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-gents-ONE-PUSCHER-CHRONOGRAPH-mechanical-watch-spares-repair-LANDERON-13-/232349886371?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=Xn89Jr2ge2tKrfefMkjXOzxlxoY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc |

That's the problem with very early pieces, hard to verify their originality. Certainly many early Breitling chrono's were unsigned and the case style and serial number would be about right but there would always be an element of doubt. That's a pretty rough example and if the wrong person ends up with it we could see it again with 'Breitling' on the dial. ![]() |

Dracha wrote: what makes this a Breitling / Montbrillant ? as you say its completely unsigned I wasn't trying to convince anyone, just looked like an early Breitling monopusher (the hands; the "Staybrite" case; the serial number) and wanted to see others' thoughts. Any thoughts now? The Landeron still makes it somewhat questionable. |
