just i have one of these that my dad had his 806 on, he bought it new when he bought the watch does anyone know if this is the equivilent of a early 60's genuine strap?

It's certainly consistent with an original bracelet, and Breitling did outsource bracelt production, but I'm not sure that the rest of the story is true. It's a long time since I saw an original bracelet from the 60s, but I think it had the B on the clasp.

I think that this is a Breitling style, but not a Breitling.

Chronodeco and Vintage may be able to correct me.

Probably an authentic bracelet from the early sixties and probably purchased then new to replace the original leather strap. This was done a lot. However I'm pretty sure it's not a Breitling piece because it's simply not signed as such. All the early bracelets I've seen were signed.
