depend on: originality, condition, case material, dial rarity. yes, they are worth collecting; decent examples start around $2k, go up to 5k and more |

Thanks Depends on condition , some are worth $500 , some $4500-$5000 If you have a look at completed auctions and sales (eBay , Christies, C24 etc) you will get a good impression what to expect |

viceuk wrote: Have been offer it but no idea what it's worth Any advice on value? I would guess value 'as is' currently without more info and/or better pics $2000-$2500 viceuk wrote: Are the hands correct? Yes, the hands seem to be all correct , Fred would have noted that if they were not viceuk wrote: Also I notice the word Geneva is missing? Should it be on the dial that depends on the age / serial number . Breitling moved their head qtrs to geneve in 1953 , so anything produced prior to 1953 should not have Geneve on the dial |

Breitling moved their head qtrs to geneve in 1953 , so anything produced prior to 1953 should not have Geneve on the dial true, but not ironclad - but the serial indicates case production year, not assembly. cases were used up over the years and the 769 is an extreme example, we see many mid 1940s cases with final assembly 1953 and later, these do have Geneve dials. |
