Hi Guys

I recently came across this vintage Breitling Chronomat, and I thought it was too nice to pass on, the watch is original, however the slideruldial is somewhat damaged, from all the years I guess.
Is the anyone in here there could point me in witch direction to go.

Do I refurbish the old sliderule dial, og do I find a vintage NOS replacement part?
How rare are these watches in this configuration?
I have tried the web, but cant seem to find any spareparts for this model anywhere?

Thank you for the space, and thanks in advance for your help!
Best Regards Henrik

can't see yr pics, sorry.

original spare sliderules for the 808 are among the rarest parts of all and almost never come up for sale - there is an ebay seller from Uruguay, dialfactory, that offers some non-original and very, very poor replacements.

yes, that sliderule is a bit sad - but still a lot better than that pathetic dialfactory replacement.

Thanks again ;)
Do you know if this configuration is more rare than others? And is the 808 a seldom seen watch in original condition?
I am going to have the watch serviced soon, and my watch told me have had great work done on refinishing the Sliderule?
My goal is then to find a donor sliderule to refurbish and keep the original one with the watch. I think the sliderule is messing with the general look of the watch.

not especially rare at all, but truly good steel examples aren't easy to find.
rarest of the steel 808 are the "full black" variations, where only the sliderule insert is white.
