I have been offered the following watch for a very good price to offset a debt I am owed.

As a Bond fan etc the fact it is the Thunderball model (without the Prop mods) appeals to me and the very nice examples of this model that I have seen online looks beautiful on the correct strap.

Ive attached pics and was wondering your thoughts with regards to dial condition / originality etc. the owner is also a Bond fan and not a expert, simply picked up this watch a long time ago knowing it was the watch from his favourite Bond film "Thunderball".

The only info I have is:

He simply picked it up years ago from a shop and had it serviced by a independent watch shop 4 years ago. He tells me all works including the subdials.

Believes it has the Valjoux 7730 movement

The hands look original to me (comparing other online pics of this model) however like I say I'm no expert

No papers, just a Travelbox (presume modern), strap not original therefore presume Buckle isn't either.

The watch is in the UK (currently I'm not) so I have been sent the following pictures:

Any comments appreciated. How well could this be cleaned up etc

Many thanks

Looks good.

Probably doesn't need a "clean-up" - suspect it will look fine in the flesh.

perfectly correct piece; assume the movement will still be marked Venus 188.
