I have a 1970's Transocean 7102, which I unfortunately dropped and had the hour hand on the chronograph pop off. Given I had not had it serviced since purchasing it a year ago I figured I would send it in to Breitling to have the hand put back in place and have it serviced. Four weeks after dropping the watch off at Breitling's Service Center in Singapore, I was contacted and told to pick up the watch as Breitling would not repair or service the watch given it was vintage.
What is the best option available for repairing and services this watch?

Breitling themselves is probably the worst choice to get a vintage piece repaired , they have no clue about pre-1982 watches

There are many vintage watch dealers in Singapore , could you not ask one of them to recommend a good watchmaker ?
I seem to remember that some of them even have a watchmaker in the store ?

I remember that 20 years ago in Singapore I visited a vintage watchmaker shop with a very big tree growing thru the roof and a very big snake sleeping in the tree .
From an historical point of view , in the 60's Singapore was a traditional and highly appreciated rest stop for pilots and crews operating on longhaul flights .
Between 2 cocktails at the Raffles lounge and other relaxing activities , pilots used to have shopping in the taxfree shops on Orchard Road and many Navitimers were bought here .
The L. Breitling company had an int'l service based in Singapore at this period . I am sure that finding a good vintage watchmaker is not so difficult in S'pore .
