Post subject:  My first vintage Breitling

Hi everyone,

I've been looking for a vintage breitling for some time and I'm very happy to have finally purchased a 806. Special thanks for Dr J for his helpful discussions regarding the watch.

The watch is in desperate need of a service as unfortunately I found that it doesn't keep time and the chronograph functions are not working. If you guys see any other warning flags about the watch do let me know as i'm a novice in this area and your comments are appreciated.

There is some print missing and faded on the slide rule, do you think i should leave it as it is or get it reconditioned during the servicing?

Thanks,
Adrian

Imho , sliderule condition is not critical , I would keep it as is .
