I am looking to add a vintage Breitling 806 to my collection but my experience has been mostly with Zenith, Rolex and Omega. I have tried to do my due diligence on Breitling 806's but I have a long way to go. I am looking at the watch shown which is currently listed on ebay. It looks to be authentic and is listed by a reliable seller. I feel it is overpriced as listed but I am considering making an offer. I would like an opinion on its originality from someone with more experience than I and a reasonable value range of such an example. I am certainly willing to pay a fair price in todays market but would like to be able to get most, if not all of my original investment back if held for a few years. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

looks basically correct, sliderule most probably a refinish.
dial is mediocre, as the lume is mostly "dead".
typical price range for this quality level would be 3.5-4.5k

Agree with Fred on all points.. Slide rule definitely a reprint. Also small hands have been repainted.
