Looks ok except the slide rule is a refinish or aftermarket reproduction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It isn't found on the outer caseback for another couple of years. As long as the caseback says 809, you are mostly OK but it may be a challenge to find a correct slide rule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just checked the breitling serial number page and I make it a 1965 ... Good news on case, it does say 809 on case back. As far as a slide rule goes, i have found an 806 slide rule. i presume they are the same. unfortunately, it has faded in some parts so I will probably buy and hold it (keep the reprint on watch). I was wondering if it is worth sending it to breitling for a new dial as they look so cool with the newer replacement dials. Would I get to keep my old dial as well ? Has anyone done this and is it a worthwhile improvement? |

If you like it you should do it, but general consensus is it destroys the watch and its value dlicheri wrote: Would I get to keep my old dial as well ? No , they keep ALL replaced parts dlicheri wrote: Has anyone done this and is it a worthwhile improvement? Only as a very very very last resort |

As above, this is too nice for that, sell this one and buy a cheaper rough one if you want to go for the new crispness of a service dial. |

I'd recommend posting pics of the new slide rule to make sure it's correct Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
