I find it very interesting, that the Chronomat 808 has a counter rotating logarithmic scale system, meaning the outer values are rising counterclockwise but the inner scale numbers rise clockwise.

This is of course opposite to the ones i.e. on Navitimers 806, which have symmetrical scales, both rising counterclockwise.

Mathematically, the symmetric ones on the 806`s work: "log(x)" versus the counter rotating ones on the 808`s "log(1/x)"

Now, besides the fact, that my eyes are not good enough to use it on my 808 without a loupe, and surely I won`t use it to often in the first place, I am just curious if there is a manual for the Chronomat 808 sliderule?

my current new love affair

Franz, larger pictures have to be hosted on photobucket.com or similar sites, here's the how to: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453

I have a Chronomat manual for the logarithmic sliderule, it is very different from the Navitimer, might even have a German version I can scan for you, will take some days, but will happen.
