I picked this little automatic up last week and pleasantly surprised how nice it is. The book shows it as being automatic, central seconds, waterproof. and date. Looking at the back I'm not sure if it comes off and it looks like there are some small scratches like someone has tried. Snap backs generally aren't on waterproof watches so this might be a drop in type case. Guess I'll leave it to my watchmaker to look at as I need the Cyclops crystal gone. Book page shows similar watches in 1952 catalog so I'm thinking around that time but can't get to the serial number inside. Crown isn't signed either so might be 1952. Case size is about 34mm. Dial is hard to get a good pic of as it appears to have a mother-of-pearl type sheen to it. Catalog page looks like they had the same problem too.
