I have absolutely no reason to doubt this watch as I bought it from the original owner with papers

but it does show very sloppy lume , a very 'phat' '12' and a lumed chronotip

It looks odd, but it's definitely Tritium.

It looks like a lot of artificial light has been used in shooting the picture, and that makes the Trituim look better/different/more glossy, then it is for real.

Hi Kurt
I shot pics in shade (3rd pic) full sunlight (1st and 4th pic) and with 2 studio flash pods (2nd pic) to show different angles , graininess of the lume , thickness of the lume etc. so thats why it maybe looks different colours under different light , but its really light still

its definitely tritium and I see no evidence on any of the hour marks , hands or '12' that 'old lume' was previously removed or lumed over old lume
absolutely no scratches on the dial around any of the hour markers that point toward old lume removal

After having studied the dial under a loupe for an hour or so I can only conclude its original , as sloppy as it is

and I agree , its very sloppy !

I don't believe the Tritium has been redone, for the same reasons as yourself, it's probably just one of those dials that looks a little aside, and it is really just a little, nothing wrong with that at all, and it's a beautiful watch.

we seem to be unanimous here; nice.

Kurt, what is your opinion regarding the lume tip on the chrono second hand ? We had doubts and thought these were "after market" or relumes, but we now had several watches with perfectly fitting lumed tips and this one from the original owner, who claims it was never altered.

I'm off the fence regarding that, too many similar examples, but would like to hear what you think ?

Only "SWISS MADE T"? If I remember correctly, the first T stands for Tritium on the dial, the second for the hands?

Fred,

I'm guessing here, just like yourself, I believe that they was delivered like that, with a lumed tips, we have simply seen so many of them, that it makes a lot of sense.

that is interesting , where did you hear that ?

I have never seen or heard that hypothesis before but I have several watches (806's , 2005's , 809's , 1765's, 2006, etc) that only have 1 'T' on the dial

i also never hear that, but interesting to talk about and find out, but if this hypothesis should be correct

it only can be correct for a later SN range, because the from Rene showed 806 with "SWISS MADE T"
is correct this way it is.

perhabs someone knows more, why we find the different markings - is there a reason for that, like
cal_11 wrote or something else or only a change in marking without special reason.
