Heads up - this V72 806 SN 843683 currently on the 'bay is being sold with identical pictures from an eBay sale in July 2013 from a seller in Arkansas. I've asked the seller for explanation or current image to prove the watch is in his possession - so far no reply. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171725875358?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT |

Well, thank you kindly. That saves us a lot of trouble and money. Would you please report this crook to Ebay? |

Lol quite a strange situation to see that someone is selling a watch that you own! Mine was also put on ebay few month ago (November 2014 I remember) while I had it next to me. |

LOL I'm currently the high bidder but wasn't expecting to be so very long. At least that confirms I was bidding on a good one but was only watching it really. Can't cancel my bid at this point but some other poor sap will probably put in a higher bid at the last second anyway. Either way my money's not going anywhere. |

Of potential interest anyway to the Sage of Correctness, there are 126 beads on the bezel, not 125. |

Mine also is 126, also serial starting by 843... May we imagine a relation? |

Well since a zero feedback bidder won the auction one would assume the seller just did that because he couldn't close the auction once it had bids and was less than 12 hours. Not surprised at all. Watch out for those second chance offers though. |

Why would he want to close the auction? He's trying to swindle people. My hypothesis: Greed just got the better of him. If he lifted the picture from the 2013 sale, he knows how much it sold for then. He was probably using his shill bidder to drive up the price aiming for a similar result. His greed saved the underbidders in this case. |

most probably a shill snipe gone wrong - I'm sure many collectors have cancelled their snipes today ![]() |

This is a good example of why fakers/scammers sell these watches. For everyone that knows the truth there are probably more that don't so it will get bids anyway. |
