Hi, Thinking of buying this watch. Got my first pilot job and want a nice vintage Breitling to keep with me for the rest of my career. Saw this on ebay really like the look but is it too good to be true? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/311305996786?na ... ING_ACTIVE cheers, 57 |

Congrats on the job! I can't comment on the watch, but I have spent quite a bit of time in the cockpit and a vintage watch (all watches for that matter) will get beat to he11 as an everyday work watch on an aircraft. |

Cheers, what would you recommend? Within reason I don't have 1000's to blow. Haha yes it is a surprisingly messy job. Have been an instructor and air ambulance/ light twin pilot for a while now and I have oil and blood over me at the end of most flights. |

You can choose any watch that you want. Some people get G-Shocks and others a brand new Breitling(or any other brand). Not that one is any better than the other. Your money, your wrist, your watch, get whatever makes you happy. Just go in with the understanding that a cockpit (and aircraft in general) are tough on watches. I personally would hate to see a "vintage" watch get abused, that's all. |
