Hi all, I imagine this has been discussed before but couldn't find a topic on BS by doing a quick search on my phone.

I've recently purchased a few vintage pieces ranging from the mid 40s to mid 90s, in excellent condition for their ages. I was speaking to a collector who said he kept his collection in a Cigar Humidor, as it was dark and controls humidity reasonably. This got me wondering how other people preserve their Vintage pieces when not being worn.

Although all will be worn relatively regular I would like to keep them in as good condition as possible when not in use.

Again apologies if already discussed, if you could paste the link I would appreciate it.

Thanks
John

Interesting topic, but boringly mine go in the watchbox or the bank or the safe.

Vintage speedmasters I keep in the oven at 200 deg Fahrenheit, trying to turn them chocolate over time

Hi,

An interesting topic indeed.

When not worn, my watches are in the bank safe, in box or individual plastic sachets.
I also add small sachets of silica gel just in case.

Home POST OFFICE safe with numerous bags of silica gel spread around. Silica packets are cheap on EBAY.
