often disputed, these three models were also available as Wakmann-branded versions, so many doubted these were original Breitling. Here are two US catalog pages (Zeff & Stroud's) from the 1972 & 1977 that show Breitling-branded Datora 512 & the refs. 9121/9122. just waiting for that catalog w/ the "twinjet"-buckle now  suprisingly late ref. 810s too. Edit: as David hasd ponted out, it does say "Breitling" in the Datora 512 text on the second page, but dial branding seems to be Wakmann

point is that there were massive doubts voiced the 9121 & 9122 were Breitling products, as no catalog or advertisement existed, they were people who claimed they were fakes. fakes in a 1972 catalog ? |

I got that part....but not been around long enough to have a feeling one way or the other. Still a nice trip down memory lane. I think I rather liked 1972. |
