Last Spring, my Mother-in-Law was going thru some of her late husband's things and found an old Breitling (along with 2 Omegas). Unfortunately, it didn't run and it had a cracked crystal. She asked if I wanted it (silly question). Of course I said yes! I took it to my local jeweler (who I had dealt with to service my daily wearer Chrono-Cockpit and my Rolex) and they suggested we send it off to Horological Services. That was last April.
I picked up the watch today... I couldn't be happier. The serial # dates it to 1962.
