Dear all,

I am new to this forum.
I am a 25 years old collector trying to get as much information as possible on early 806 and especially Valjoux 72 version.
I tried to make my knowledge through internet and learnt a lot thanks to Kurt website.

I understood that it was possible to find some valjoux 72 with 806 stamped on the caseback, corresponding to transition between Valjoux 72 and Venus 178 version.

Concerning the BOG or WOG stamp on the movement, can we consider that all Valjoux 72 are stamped with BOG as it was used until 1957 while Valjoux stopped in 1955?

Thank you for your answers.

Best regards

Nicolas

Kurt 's website is probably the best resource out there

And yes, all V72's are marked BOW , and some of the early V178's as well, WOG on V178's started on 56/57 models , i am not 100% sure when the exact switch was , Kurt has a timeline posted on his website , its probably on there ?

Amd welcome ;)

I have recently come into contact with a collector with an NOS 806 v72 which could be coming to market soon. When it does, I will make it known.

Serious buyers only!!!
