I cant find any fault in it , other than I am really surprised this is a 14K version and not an 18K Gold watch

I have never seen a 14K Gold Breitling before ?

Only explanation I can come up with is that its not a swiss case , maybe french (made in france for Breitling ?) ?
I cant seem to make out the ladies head , it seems to be something else ?

well , the "ladies head" or Helvetia hallmark would indicate a Mr. Maerz fabrication, Rene; 14k should (and seems to be) the squirrel

Not surprised that the hallmark is correct, it looks totally legit - just very odd to be 14k. Fred may be on to something - this is very early for an 18k Navi and 14k would have been easier to work than the softer 18k. Granted they had been producing 18k watches for a long time, but not with Navi tools, dies, etc.

Well since another has seemed to appear from the same seller one can only assume everyone is loading up for this one since the chatter has been nonexistent. Interesting that the cases on these appear to have soldered lugs.

Hmmmm..... Maybe nobody but some dealers are bidding on it. Cause like you know it would be the talk of the town around here especially after all the talk take beater '56 just got. Yes, I said it a beater for 3k. This might hit 10k after that!! All kidding aside, 5k is my guess at today's prices.

funny , the one above in the ebay auction has serial 917425 :

All words on case and case back: Breitling 806 (engraved To Gordon Bettis from your friends in division 1000 May 1 1961) 0.585 14K 917425 Breitling watch co Swiss

I just found its 'older' sibling , serial 917424 , engraved with 'From Mother to Grant .........." which is also 14K
