Post subject:  Need help in identifying

Good afternoon,

I am new to this forum and looking for help in identifying the model of my late grandfather's Breitling watch. My guess is that it was purchased sometime in the 1970's (it was a retirement gift to himself my mother tells me. Also, the band is an aftermarket).

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

welcome to the forum, Chris.

not really hard to identify and a pleasure, as it seems all correct.
Chrono-Matic ref. 2110, based on (one of) the first automatic chronograph calibers, the cal.11.

looks like an early piece, manufactured 1969-70, I assume, but the 7-digit number on the caseback will tell us the case production year.

Fred,

Thanks for the reply - is there a place I can enter the 7-digit number to see what year it's from?

Thanks,

Chris
