Hello all. This is my first post to the forum as I am a new member and I just bought my first Breitling. I have spent some time reading older posts and I am so impressed by the input given by all of you. It is incredibly to be looking in from the outside and immediately feel welcome and this is due to you all who really know their stuff and yet make the time to give considerable feedback to noobs like myself and others. I think I could speak for a lot of people to say you doing this is so incredibly appreciated by people like myself.

Before I found this site, I made a post on Watchuseek as I had been considering purchasing a Breitling for quite some time but was extremely wary about purchasing a fake, etc. A gentleman by the name of Watchfred responded to my post. I then proceeded to stalk him through PM's about this particular watch. This guy was so knowledgeable it was amazing. But more to the point of why I am writing this post is that Fred had no idea who I am and I am sure is very busy with his own life but he took the time to answer me and essentially guided me through the process of obtaining this watch. Then recommended the watch be given a spa day in Oregon which I have since scheduled with Craig. Oh wait, did I mention the watch did not have the correct crystal but Fred thought he might have one lying around and if he did he would ship it to Craig so it could be placed on while being serviced? Amazing! Fred, I just cannot thank you enough! To others on this site who I have not met yet take the time to respond to what may be amatuerish requests or questions as Fred did, please keep it up! There are plenty of us out there who find it invaluable. Thanks for reading. Now finally on to my watch...

Congratulations and welcome to BreitlingSource.

We are certainly honoured to have Fred as a member here, one of the very good guys along with a group of others here in the vintage section.

Welcome and congratulation of a wonderful watch. A great start to a nice collection. The guys here, WatchFred, Dracha, Roff and others are all knowledgeable and the best source of information for modern and vintage Breitlings. I'm looking forward to your next watch.

Just to let you know looking at your location it would seem there's two of these in the LA area now. :lingsrock:
