... My mid-60's 809 that I picked up very inexpensively a couple of months ago has been with my watchmaker since April 15th. They emailed me earlier this week saying it was now on the watchmakers bench and would be going through service. Yay! Yesterday, they emailed me again with the following photo after having found the minute wheel and minute wheel post broken...
. Good news is they had the part in stock, bad news is that it'll cost a little more for the service....

So... it looks like the work will be a little more than just a COA and crystal polish but that's how it goes with mechanical watches. I can't wait to post some photos for you all when it returns! Shouldn't be more than a week or so now! -Chad
