What do you guys think about this watch n its movement? The dial looks good to me (newbie) but the movement..? It does look a bit like what has been discussed on a very long winded post way back in 2011 http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=32850 .. I hope I did not offend any people for bringing up a very old post for comparison... And my question, is the dial original and the movement original? Thanks

If its this one

http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 1404491070

Very nice, 53 case, build approx guestimate between 55-58

Non gilded movement I have seen before , no surprises

Extra 3 digit number that is very interesting but so far no proof what they were for

I may have to throw in a bid or 2 but I am afraid it will end outside my comfortzone at 5K€ or more

Well... A R72 navitimer from 54/55 sells for roughly the same

Its a great deal of money but a great watch , and sticking to my1000 pcs theory they only made 166 per year between 53 and 58 , divide that by 2 again (digital vs. Analog) 80 pcs each per year pf each

That makes for a really rare watch , wearable, great size and rock solid history

This one looks really nice, might even be worth the $9.5k , time will tell

yes, seller claims ebay member 9xklug13 failed to respond - but the watch is listed on c24 too and seller seems to think his $12k asking price there is "fair value".....

Are you saying there were only 80 AVI 765 digital watches made in 1953 Pre-Geneve?
