Hi guys,
Has been search on the web for more info on this 765 with ref no 827xxx. Grateful for any comments. My concern is whether the breitling sign on bridge is correct? Image

well, 827xxx means the case was produced in 1953 - but these cases were used until the late 1950s - so it could be one of several variations. a bit surprised by bridge engraving and lacking import code on the Venus 178, but clearly need more pics to say anything relevant.

Nice watch, i was following it on ebay

Screws in the bezel are a bit too big and now that I see the movement i suspect work has been done on it as the bridge engraving is incorrect in my opinion

Do you see a 'TJ' stamped anywhere on the movement baseplate ?

Hi Rene,

No 'TJ ' on base plate as I can see. Is it significant to the watch? Other than what you have mentioned is there other things that's not right? The lume has zero luminescent when exposed to light... can it be possible a repaint? Or maybe it's just tooooo old...
Overall it runs great n wears real good. Some wear to the case but line still there.

Well. The TJ would have confirmed 100% its a breitling movement but its not uncommon for these not to have it (if you can send me the full serial i can check with some of mine to see where it fits)

The lume should have 0% luminicense as the watch is at least 50 years old, no concerns there and its not been relumed as far as i can tell

Other than the bridge engravings no concerns from me, its a great looking watch and as you most likely know quite rare and sought after
