In the Ehrhart/DeMesy Book 6, Vintage American & European Wrist Watch Price Guide, there are some interesting Wakmann versions of some of the popular Breitling's. I have never seen any of the variations but you'd have to assume they were produced if they're in the Price Guide. Talk about rare to have one of these. I believe the appreciating market for vintage Breitling's will also pull Wakmann along with it.

I believe some one has been creative with the , description and branding ?

The above model is from 1953 and does NOT have a 'date' at 3 , and what was the wakmann connection in 53 ?

Id be very surprised if these are models actually released

This one is for sale on ebay and very similar to the ref 765 pictured. There is no ref #. The seller goes by the name dizmonkey. The bridge is flukey on it.

There is something shady with this seller because he is selling a similar Wakmann 2 register under a completely different ebay name but asks to be emailed at dizmonkey.

Sorry Fred I corrected it. Something just seems odd with this seller even though 100% positive feedback on both sites.

Rick, having two active sales accounts on ebay is not so extraordinary, some very respected members here have those too.

Without leading this thread too far off topic, I would be rather cautious with this seller; I (and Craig) have seen a Jardur Bezelmeterwhere he claimed "it was coomon practice to file off the Pilgrim Electric engraving on the bridge", wasn't easy to make him take the watch back - no he's swapped the movement into another Jardur and he's still trying to sell it ;)

I wasn't interested in these but thought it was interesting because they were similar to the Wakmanns Paul alluded to in the beginning of this thread.
