When smartphones came out they started a trend where in many people stopped wearing watches all together. Now Smartphone watches are becoming popular. As with autos when they became extremely electronic that took the ability to play and repair autos out of the hands of the everyday person. This triggered an interest in vintage cars which could be and worked on by the average person and in so doing drove up the price of vintage autos. I'm wondering if the Smartphone watches will like wise renew an interest in watch collecting [people viewing mechanical watches as works of art] with the result driving up interest and prices of vintage watches. What's others take on this.
