Ever see a 806-36 with a black dial and Venus 178? Here's one.

Yes, this very special 806-36 is a very transitional version ! It was the 1st April 1967 : Breitling was in shortage of 7736 , and a trainee had the genious idea to substitute it by the Venus 178. According to very official sources , they decided to turn the back cover of 180° clockwise before closing it . It is the best way to identify this very special version . :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I contacted the seller and she indicate her fiancé has been a watchmaker for many years so that pretty much answers any questions I had. I think she closed the auction anyway but I told her she should list it on ebay since there's still a market for it because someone always is sitting on the right parts to get it squared away.
