Message to any newbies. I'm new to vintage Breitlings, and have been using the extremely friendly services and been accommodated by the hugely knowledgable members of this forum to help me with my purchases.
WatchFred, Chronodeco, Dracha, Roffensian etc etc whose knowledge is incredible and i for one appreciate this as I'm coming from a very limited knowledge base and as we see from Watchfreds daily scoop on Ebay fakes/frankens etc you could easily be stung.

To the average newbie this world of vintage watches with multiple issues may put you off in the short term,BUT (and i hope you don't mind watchFred), on looking back through past posts- Watchfred was a newbie- and I personally got a huge amount of motivation (and admiration) from observing the process of self learning that went from "Hi I'm a newbie- could someone let me know what they think of this Breitling" in 2011 to being one of the leading lights in Vintage Breitlings with his daily critical appraisal of vintage watches.

Just thought i'd share my feelings on this as, like I say, its given me a huge amount of motivation to "get into" watches and understand their nuances, especially in regard to vintage Breitlings- which seem to get more and more beautiful every time I see one of Freds pro pics.

Cheers, Ted
