Please take a look at this link and offer your honest opinion. Like many posters here, I purchased something I know nothing about - should have asked first. Your candor is appreciated.

Let me check the books this evening before I commit absolutley, but I don't like it. There is a model 111, but I believe that it's a two register chrono, and the caseback doesn't look right for a Breitling.

The movement is a Felsa 690, but I'm not happy that the rotor engraving is original.

If I had to put money on it now I'd say fake, but want to check to be sure.

OK, hit the books, can't find much on the movement or the model number, but I'm convinced this is wrong.

Engraving on the rotor looks aftermarket, watch looks inconsistent with an automatic era Breitling, I can find no evidence that a Felsa 690 was used in a Breitling (though I'm no expert on Felsa) and the only reference I can find to a 111 (on Club Breitling Israel) is indeed a two register chrono (it worries me slightly that I knew that :? )

My guess would be that the dial and case are Breitling, probably from the early 50s, but the rest has been assembled. One obvious thing I missed this morning - the dial has the printed Breitling, the rotor has script - oops!!

If you haven't paid yet, I would walk away claiming that the watch isn't as advertised.

Thank you for your time. I have already paid but perhaps the dealer will grant a refund. Lesson learned.
