Hi guys Considered a Top Time, ref. 810 on eBay, it said "Breitling Swiss" and not "Breitling Geneve" on the dial. What's the story with the "Swiss" variation? I was thinking re-dial, but it looked to good to be that? It also lacked Top Time on the dial, but I believe that I have seen this before and that it is legit to have models without Top Time written on it. Appreciate any clarifications! |

saw that piece too; dial is strange, both the "Swiss" and the missing "Top Time" are clearly incorrect for a ref. 810; might be a later replacement dial made to fit both the Top Time 810 and the Long Playing 815; watch clearly did not originally leave the Breitling factory like this. |

I agree. But then I saw this overview of old Breitlings (Lester Harrison, re-vamped by you as far as I can see): ![]() Great overview, btw. ![]() If you look at the 810 here, there's a "Swiss" and "Top Time" variation (no. 64)? I feel I'm back to the circular discussion with Breitling and ADs in the sixties mixing up dials and hands, even more so than Omega. That said, I never go for pieces that are questionable. At least nowadays anyway. A bit more experienced. Gut feeling says replacement dial and "no go". Thanks for your input! |

I have seen this dial on a few 815 models from the late end of the company. Feel strongly they are legit just last hours of the dying brand. Wayne |

Very interesting. It would be a nice anomaly piece to add to a collection, the dial at least. Wayne |

I asked a similar question when i bought this 810 some time ago, Swiss marked and there do appear to be a few around, i think the other picture originally came from the catalogue page. Certainly seems to divide opinion based on the previous posts. |

good spiot and it clearly proves me wrong, "Swiss" variations existed, not only as replacement dials. Strange, but a fact; though the missing Top Time still remains unexplained. |

I dread the days when we're going to react to 'anomalies' the same way as the Rolex crowd does Silly really because a part of me wants to react like that while the other part will say ' YOU had one of those , you idiot !!' |
