Very few people in the world have actually held one of these in their hands, some people have heard about it, knows that it excists, and have even seen pictures of it, because they have a friend called Google.
But even Google have problems finding pictures of it, because there's so few.
After years of searching I finally have one now, and I won't hesitate claiming that it is the rarest of them all.
I would love to know the true history behind them, and I raise the question.:
Was they originally made to be sold, or was an extremely little amount made for a specific reason ? ? ?
As far as I recall, there have only been 3 of them on eBay the last 11 years, and all was in poor condition.
Anyway, it's from 1955, the movement is Venus 178. I know about the excistence of 2 of them with Valjoux 72, and I have actually held one of the two in my hands.
It is of course all original, unpolished and unrestored, the condition is pretty good, the Radium on the numbers is all present, the lacquer on the dial seems to have vanished over the years. The lume inside the hands have been replaced, so I will find a set of replacement hands over time.
