New here and attempting to do a bit of educational due diligence on this possible trade. First, a brief background: I'm an Omega guy but recently figured I'd put the feelers out there to trade my Seamaster Pro Chrono Chronometer. I came upon another member of the watch forums who was looking to trade a '73 "Long Playing" 1450.

It looks like it's in good shape and it looks to be about Breitling's version of Omega's Speedmaster of the same era. It's got no box or papers, and the only flaw I could see is the 11 o'clock lume had a piece that's flaked off. I like it, and it looks good, but not being a Breitling expert, I'm just trying to get a second set of eyes on this to confirm or deny my feelings that it's an equal trade. (My Omega, reference 2599.80 with full box and papers, is valued at approximately $2400 or so)

I'd greatly appreciate any information that anyone could provide on this situation.

correct ref. 1450 in good shape. trade valuations are tricky, but auctions for similar 1450 typically end at about 50-60% of those $2.4k, often less.

Thanks for the info. I like it, though I know it's not one of Breitling's more popular vintage watches. Always have future possible trade values in the back of my mind when it comes to these.
