Hi, I'm fairly new to the forum, and have had the pleasure of talking to some friendly and greatly knowledgeable breitling connoisseurs! One watchfred-advised me on the following purchase and I have to say I love it- and thanks Fred for being patient with my questions!! You can see the size of it against a tissot world time -43mm, and speedmaster mk2!!!

Beautiful watch! I would love to add a Chrono-matic to my collection, but not sure if I want to go vintage or newer. Yours is a great example, enjoy it!

Matt, there is no "newer" Chrono-Matic, just "tributes", really. Chrono-Matic was Breitling's name for Cal. 11/12 movements, the last relevant technological innovation it contributed to horology.

the modern "Chrono-Matic" are tributes to the design language of the "big case" line, just one of many Chrono-Matic model ranges the Cal. 11/12/14/15 movements were used in; standard ETA movements, horological mediocrity.

@dinobaggio: great piece indeed, well done.

Keep it. It seems to be a early bird. This means it could be one of the early Cal 11 with inner black hands, black date wheel and black bezel.

Please check your serial number and the movement.

The only thing is, that the bezel seems to be refinished (what is impossible).
