Basically this Navi looks correct with an exception for the subdials which look faded or polluted , as if the " normal" silver white had been touched up with a yellow varnish ? It is too much here to be a problem of reflect or poor pics .

Saw it as well, seems ok to me but it beats me why the subs are coloured that different from the rest
Even the logo looks whiter than the subdials

Yes - it's nicotine stain. I have had watches where I have seen the same discoloration.

It's harder to clean these "white" bits than others hence the mismatch.

I know I've tried, flip side of course is if you can wash it away , you could end up with a great original !!

But if it was worked on in S America, it could be a nightmare of future very costly repairs! I will no longer knowingly work on any watch that has been in S America.

Might be smokers stain. I had a Clebar with the same problem. Watchmaker took a lot of gunk out of the movement when servicing it, and I removed quite a lot from the face and hands. It might have been in something more than a smoky environment though (a fire perhaps), or at least that is what we thought at the time. Luckily it cleaned very well and looked brand new on completion. Just clean water and a cotton bud. Face was enamelled though, so made it a little easier.

If it is a tobacco stain, then the rotating bezel has either cleaned better, or its a replacement. I know they are different surfaces and may clean differently to the sub dials, but the C scale is very clean (even though its spotted). If my eyes don't deceive me, is there a wiped appearance (loss of black) around the 11 to 12 markers?

Could clean up very nicely for one intrepid enough.
