Just got this 808 in the mail. It looks to me like these hands on the chronograph dials are way off.

What are your thoughts? See anything else wrong?

Just looks like the sub register hands are wrong.

I can't really see how far the minute hand extends but the hour hand looks okay. The sub-dial hands are wrong. Here is mine...

Exactly. This is my first vintage watch so I may be a little over sensitve, but I'm a little upset about it - I kind of feel taken. Is it not a big deal? Should I not worry about it? Are they easily replaced?

What do you guys think?

Here is a better picture of the sub register hands

The hands are an easy service replacement so if you can find some appropriate hands then it's not that big a deal.

Like I said before, I'm new to the vintage watch world so this is probably going to be a dumb question, but where do you find replacement hands? How much do they cost?

Yeah, patience and persistence are going to be needed I'm afraid.

What I have found is that the sub register hands are more easily found than the dial, crown and bezel for this model. They are not special shaped (like with an arrow tip) but sticks. You will have to look on the bay or speak with someone who works on vintage watches and you trust. All in all you have a great looking watch and it's hands are minor when you consider what more they could have done.

Thanks for all of the advice, I really appreciate it.

I've started to look around for chronomat sub dial hands, but I haven't really found much. I did, however, find these listings on ebay for navitimer second hands. They look pretty similar to the chronomat sub dial hands to me. Could they work?

Your first link maybe a possibility but hopefully someone here could guide you better. I have not done a restore job on one of these with missing hands. Try to double check if the hand you select are for the right movement family and the correct shape for the model year. Look at this link and determine if you want to move forward. Unfortunately there is sometime a lot of trial and error.
