Bought this watch fresh from Breitling Italy service - dial in very decent condition (have a look at the edges of the applied logo & numerals please, this might indicate an old redial, but the printing is so crisp I'd rather doubt this ?), crown was apparently a service replacement, running perfectly.

But like almost all base metal pieces from the 1940s and 1950s, the case was badly worn & scratched, so off it went to that rather talented case refinisher; back recently, edges still knife sharp.

Some purists may frown at the refinished case - but it is now a beautiful and very wearable vintage piece again.

Very nice piece - and a great job on the case.

Fred

A great watch that wears lovely - you can't have unrestored perfection with perfect patina everytime !!!

A quick question, does this movement have a 45 min totaliser as well, as the 30 like yours?

Graham

Congrats, Fred , another high standard timepiece!
Did the case restorer add metal to the worn case? What kind of replating was used ? Rhodium or chrome?
