I am interested in this one:

I welcome any and all comments and observations. Also, is a "gold filled" example something one would expect to wear through eventually? I have read different opinions all over the internet (imagine that). As always, thanks to you all for sharing your knowledge and expertise.

looks to be in very nice condition, quite optimistically priced.
the plating on the 808 is exceptionally good and I have seen many in pristine condition.

This dealer is know for having very nice pieces and very high prices to match. IMO, if you don't mind paying the price you will have a nice watch. If you are planning to wear for awhile and then sell, you will be hard pressed to recoup your investment. My opinion and others are welcome to comment.

Very good point. I don't have the knowledge to venture into the eBay or auction world without getting burned. I don't mind paying more for what I know is a quality original piece. I want something I can pass on to my young son one day, not an investment or something to sell down the road. Anyone want to chime in on the likelyhood of the gold fill eventually wearing through? That's my only concern. I really want the rose gold 18k 808 but cannot find one anywhere. Any suggestions there? Thanks!

Well, of course a filled finish will in time wear in places depending on how much you wear it and type of abuse it takes. Of course, you are not doing yard work or washing your car with something like this but I have known a guy that did with his 60k vintage Rolex submariner and didn't think twice about it. If you care for it, the finish should hold up quite well.
As for your rose gold, WatchFred or Vintage would be great sources for trying to track one down.

Brandizzi in Rome has an 18k ref. 808 in exceptional condition, listed on Chrono24.com; these are very, very rare.

Keep looking, Farfo's high prices are not the only issue!
