Hello Everyone,
Being an active forum member has its down sides ( I have other interest besides Breitling's so do participate in other forums ) and sometimes you can just accidentally be on the wrong side of someone, who believes their knowledge gives them the right to be rude or dismissive about someone else's pride and joy, just because its not perfect.
However being a forum member can also be great - especially when someone leaves a flattering comment or offers up something worthwhile.
As a result of my previous 808 thread - I was approached by a fellow forum member - Michael - who offered to swap my generic Breitling box for a period Chronomat box and whilst I had my reservations about passing on the current box, I eventually decided that I would much prefer to go ahead and do the swap. All I had to give was my word and viola, this box arrived today!

This is just a post therefore to thank Michael and for his trust, which of course I have honoured ( although he won't know this for sure until later in the week when his new 50+ year old box arrives in the post.
I am sure not everyone will think I have done the right thing but I am happy and that's what matters
