thanks, guys.

Roff, it is a true beauty, pictures and catalogs do not do it justice - a great piece to hunt for.

Same "modular" design as the 7103/04, the movement module "pops out" of the case. One of the late designs of the original Breitling - just imagine what me missed, when Willy decided to close down the company to be able to pay off all his debt, instead of looking for some kind of restructuring or bancruptcy protection like many others; I am sure this modular concept had many more models in the pipeline.

Indeed, although Willy was very ill at the end and his sons weren't interested in taking over by all accounts, so not sure what would have happened anyway.

Simple, beautiful, purity in a chronograph. Maybe someday I'll finally get up the nerve to go really vintage (My accutron gets just a little wrist time). Until then, my thoughts wander to the Speedy I haven't owned yet. Even then, that Datora has a prominent calendar, in RED. Sigh, indeed.

Fred and vintage,
Love both your watches. I'm always on the fence when it comes to picking one of these up but I think I just may.

Thanks for sharing two beautiful watches.
