Post subject:  Top Time 2002-33 magnetic?

I just ordered a 1969 Top Time 2002-33 off of Chrono24 and was quite puzzled when some buckyballs (small rare earth magnets) on my desk I forgot were there stuck to the case. I was under the impression the case should be stainless steel and stainless steel shouldn't attract magnets (the case on my Rolex 14060 submariner does not attract the magnets). The watch also feels lighter than I was expecting, considerably lighter than my submariner. Does anyone have any feedback or any other tests I can do to verify it's authenticity?

Well we can comment on authenticity if you post pictures, and the case should be stainless steel. Given that magnets and mechanical movements don't mix I have no practical experience of testing cases for their magnetic properties so can't comment on that.

I am not able to get a picture of the movement right now as I don't have any sort of case opener. I can see if I can get it over to a local jeweler and have it popped open to get some pics if they are needed.

Almost all mechanical watches have steel parts in them that should not be anywhere near permanent magnets. It can significantly effect the balance speed. Also, older stainless quality is not as good as todays and can be slightly magnitized.
Picture file size is way TOO LARGE.
Some TopTime casebacks cannot be removed. Movement on many of them goes in from the top.

That is the album of the files for some reason they are at a much more reasonable size.

watch is authentic. no need for movement pics, though it is not a monocoque case, but a gen. 2., so caseback can be removed.

case could do with a good cleaning and polish, assume you plan to have the watch serviced ?

edited yr links, here are the pics in 768x1024, the "huge" imgur thumbnail, you had selected "original" for the links.
either add an "h" after the file name (before the .jpg) or select the desired uplink size from the imgur drop down menu on the low right edge of the link list.

Thank you for allaying my fears. Yes it is on its way to Chronodeco as soon as I get a chance to pack it up and send it out.
